For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Danielle Fenning and I have the distinct honor of being your new SOTB owner. I’ve been a designer for SOTB since March of last year and I have lived, breathed and eaten (though not tasty) digital scrapbooking and designing ever since.
I made the announcement internally yesterday on my 35th birthday, and I immediately set to work at picking up where the previous owner had left off. Today I completed the new color scheme for the site which coordinates with our new Signature Collaboration that was made available in the store today. I hope you all like the changes thus far.
To celebrate my new ownership and our reaffirmed dedication to the digiscrapping community, we are having a grand opening celebration from July 13-19. Check the previous blog post or the SOTB calendar for times and dates for our week-long crops. We have plenty of prizes and games in store, so tell your friends.
Other things in the works:
- We are in the process of seeking additional designers. To apply, please email a link to a small designer sample to danielle@scrapoutsidethebox.com.
- We have converted to an open gallery. We encourage you to post all of your best work in our gallery and are now allowing links to kits used from other stores. Please do not post ads in the gallery as they will be deleted.
- New Contests–with the grand reopening, we will also be having a layout contest. A little birdie told me we may also be having a Digiscrapbooker of the Year contest in the fall. The prize will be huge for this so stay tuned!
- Give and Get Quickpage Exchange - be sure to join us at our crops during Grand Re-Opening week to get the skinny on this fun event.
- New Classes - We hope to be adding some new crop classes in the fall for beginner and intermediate scrappers
- Tastes of Designs - We will be featuring free samplers in the store from each of our fabulous designers starting in August.
- Hybrids - In the fall, we will also be offering hybrid classes and projects.
