Terms of Use

 

1. You may not use Scrap Outside the Box as a means to advertise products, services, sales, etc.  You must use common "netiquette" and not post any annoyances such as chain mail, pyramid schemes, urban legends, viruses, etc.  If it is suspected that a user has joined this site in order to post information violating these terms of use, that member shall be banned without warning.  We reserve the right to remove, without warning, any postings that contain profanity, flaming, nudity, or of an offensive nature.  You must be kind and treat others with respect at all times.  If you are concerned that these terms are being violated or have any questions, please contact admin@scrapoutsidethebox.com.  

2. Privacy is very important here at Scrap Outside the Box.  Do not post anyone else’s personal information, no names, addresses, phone numbers, etc. 

3. We cannot guarantee that any and all information posted in the Scrap Outside the Box forums and gallery is accurate and abides by these terms.  Posting is the responsibility of each individual user, and we may not immediately see an offending post or misinformation, or interpret it as such.  If you have a concern, please contact admin@scrapoutsidethebox.com.  

4. You may not post any copyrighted material.  Exceptions include material copyrighted to you, or posting copyrighted material with proper credit, including the creator’s name, and preferably with express permission by that creator.  You may not post anything vulgar, harassing, lewd, flaming, sexually explicit, or verbally abusive.  Offenders will be banned immediately.

5. We reserve the right  to refuse any advertising that we deem inappropriate.  If you would link information about advertising opportunities, contact admin@scrapoutsidethebox.com.

6. You may not cross-post.  This means that you are not allowed to post the same information in multiple threads in the forum. 

7. When posting digital layouts, you must give proper credit.  For instance, "ribbon downloaded from ABC Digital".  You may not give the URL to another site.  You may give the URL to brush, font, or other resource sites you have used if their terms of use state that you must credit as such when posting layouts.  If anyone is found to be using Scrap Outside the Box as a means of advertising another site’s store items, they will be asked to cease and remove all offenses, or as a last resort, will be banned.

8. You must keep your username/password information private.  Scrap Outside the Box is not responsible for content posted by your username, you must take full responsibility and not share your login info with anyone. 

9. You may post informational links in the forums to helpful sites, such as font and brush sites, but do not cross-post them and do not repeat the posts.  Do not link to sites that sell the same items as Scrap Outside the Box. 

10. We reserve the right to remove any material that is found or suspected to be in violation of copyright, offensive, or solicitations.  We may do this without prior notice and at any time.  Members can be banned at any time due to violations.

11. If you scraplift a layout, you must give proper credit to the original creator and link to the original layout, if possible. 

12. If you post layouts at other scrapbook sites or if your layouts are published using materials downloaded from Scrap Outside the Box, you agree to acknowledge the creator and this site.  For instance, "Background by Donna Pelletier, downloaded from Scrap Outside the Box".

13. You may not post a direct download link for items at Scrap Outside the Box at another site or forum.  Post a page link, if allowed.   

14. By accessing this site, you agree to these terms.  They are subject to change at any time without notice. 

15. Scrap Outside the Box frequently offers chats for the benefit of the designers and products at Scrap Outside the Box.  You must use common "netiquette" in the chatroom.  You may not give the URL to another site as a means of advertising another sites store items.  You may post URLs to brush, font, photography or other resource sites.  Scrap Outside the Box has gone to significant efforts to secure positive relations.  Use of the chatroom shall be in a respectful and unharmful manner.  Please have fun at the CROPS!
